Silicon nitride forming rolls are used for metal processing applications including drawing, guiding, extrusion, etc in wire and cable industry. Metals to be processed could be brass, copper, bronze, aluminum, titanium, steel, and other various metals. Shapes could be rod, tube, wire, and other complex shapes.
Advantages:
1. Longer service life of forming rolls. Service life of silicon nitride forming rolls is about 9 times and 2~3 times longer than that of metal and tungsten carbide forming roll, respectively.
2. Higher working temperature. Silicon nitride forming rolls could be used at temperature up to 1000°C. While generally, steel forming rolls can only be used below 300°C
3. Better surface roughness quality of the metal works is achieved
4. Pick-up of the metal works is eliminated
5. Scrap of metal works is reduced
